Rainbow Connection
Kermit The Frog
Key: A

A F#m D E
Why are there so many songs about rainbows,
    A F#m D E
And what's on the other side?
A F#m D E
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions.
A F#m D
Rainbows have nothing to hide.
D
So we've been told and some choose to believe it.
C#m E7
I know they're wrong; wait and see.

D E C#m F
Some day we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
    D E A
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

A F#m D E
Who said that every wish will be heard and answered
     A F#m D E
When wished on a morning star?
A F#m D E
Somebody thought of that and someone believed him.
A F#m D
Look what it's done so far.
D
What's so amazing and keeps us stargazing?
C#m E7
What do we think we might see.

D E C#m F
Some day we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
    D E A
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

A F#m D E
Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
A F#m D E
I've heard them calling my name.
A F#m D E
Are these the sweet sounds that called the young sailors?
A F#m D
I think they're one and the same.
D
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
     C#m E7
It's something that I'm supposed to be.

D E C#m F
Some day we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
D E A
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

(Repeat)

I transposed to C (+3) then changed:
G7 to Em7/G
and
G# to Amsus (con-) and Am (-nection)

Those changes made it the easiest, best sounding (with my voice) version of this song.

I think the E7 just stays at C#m
Also the F in the refrain is an F#
