For the album version, No capo in the key of D. "Better than most..." try G, D/F#, Em. "And I'm way too..." try G, D/F#, Em, G, then resolve to D (your key). Whole lot easier to strum, and gives more low end to fit the song IMO. I've seen videos where he plays it in E, no capo but the album version sounds the best.
