Hello All,

Ok so I saw a really good acoustic cover of this song by Emma Deigman and
her very good unkown guiatrist friend - All credit goes to him/them and
Lady Gaga - sorry lady gaga but I dont even know your original version, but
heres to ya anyway : |

The song is in C#m if you want to add a solo - All chords therefore on this
one are from the E major Chord family.

Again this is a transcription of the Emma Deigman Cover, the link is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITXFs8VhHKE

All chords are bar chords except the E in the Verse and chorus

Intro Chords:

C#m   : 9 11 11 9 X X
E     : 7 7 9 9 7 X
B     : 7 9 9 8 X X
F#m   : 9 9 11 11 10 X
F#sus : 9 9 11 11 9 X    ---> Not 100% sure what this chord is called

Verse/Bridge/Chorus Chords:

C#m   : X 4 6 6 5 X  Chorus: 4 4 6 6 5 4
E     : 0 2 2 X X X  Bridge: 7 7 9 9 X X
B     : X 2 4 4 X X  Chorus: 2 2 4 4 4 X
F#m   : 2 4 4 2 X X  Chorus: 2 4 4 2 2 2

A     : X 0 7 9 10 X and X 0 7 9 9 X

Intro: (Half measures of each of the F#'s)

C#m, E, B, F#m F#sus
X 2

Verse: (Power chord note emphasis)

C#m        E              B         F#m
I've had a little bit too much
C#m        E              B         F#m
All of the people start to rush,
C#m         E                B             F#m
How does he twist the dance, can't find my drink or man
C#m        E                 B         F#m
Where are my keys, I lost my phone

Bridge:

The A is played at the 7th Fret with the A string open, and G# and G for
voicing - to give the right effect like this:

A: X 0 7 9 10 X then slide your pinky down to the 9th fret on the B string
like so: X 0 7 9 9 X, he does this then for two half counts then goes back
up to the G# (10) again and slides it back down to the 9 on the last strum
or so before going to the C#m.

The C#m (at the 4th Fret) is played only once then is slid into twice from
the B power chord and then the C#m is then slid to an E bar chord at the
7th fret, then your back to the A as described above.

A                        C#m
What's going out on the floor?
C#m     B ---> C#m    B ----> C#m -->E
I love this record baby, but I can't see straight anymore
A                                    C#m
Keep it cool what's the name of this club?
C#m     B ---> C#m B ----> C#m
I can't remember but it's alright, alright

Chorus: Play slightly fuller chords with more of some half strumming in between.

     C#m    E               B   F#m (Full chord)
Just dance, gonna be okay da doo doo doo
     C#m    E                      B   F#m

     C#m    E               B   F#m     C#m
- Break - strum Mutes
Dance, dance, dance, Ju-just dance

C#m        E              B         F#m
Wish I could shut my playboy mouth
C#m        E              B         F#m
How’d I turn my shirt inside out?
C#m         E                B             F#m
Control your poison babe, roses have thorns they say
C#m        E              B         F#m
And we’re all gettin’ hosed tonight

Bridge

A                        C#m
What's going out on the floor?
C#m     B ---> C#m    B ----> C#m -->E
I love this record baby, but I can't see straight anymore
A                                    C#m
Keep it cool what's the name of this club?
C#m     B ---> C#m B ----> C#m
I can't remember but it's alright, alright

Chorus:

     C#m    E               B   F#m
Just dance, gonna be okay da doo doo doo
     C#m    E                      B   F#m
Just dance, spin that record babe da doo doo doo
     C#m    E               B   F#m

     C#m    E               B   F#m     C#m
- Break - strum Mutes
Dance, dance, dance, Ju-just dance

Repeat the chorus Again and finish on the F#m and let the vocal resolve to the C#m.

Thats It - cracking version in my opinion and cant Emma Deigman sing!! Holy crap.

Interpreted by Ben Mc
