CAPO 6TH FRET
(Key of Ab)
[Intro]
D G D G
[Verse 1]
D
Been traveling these wide roads for so long
G
My heart’s been far from you
D
Ten-thousand miles gone
Oh, I wanna come near and give ya
G
Every part of me
But there's blood on my hands
D
And my lips are unclean
In my darkness I remember
G
Momma’s words reoccur to me
"Surrender to the good Lord
Em
And he’ll wipe your slate clean"
[Chorus]
Take me to your river
D
I wanna go
Em
Oh-oh-oh- oh
Take me to your river
D
I wanna know
[Verse 2]
Tip me in your smooth waters
I go in
G
As a man with many crimes
Come up for air
D
As my sins flow down the Jordan
D
Oh, I wanna come near and give ya
G
Every part of me
But there is blood on my hands
Em
And my lips are unclean
[Chorus]
Take me to your river
D
I wanna go
Em
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Take me to your river
D
I wanna know
[Bridge]
D
I wanna go, wanna go, wanna go
D
I wanna know, wanna know, wanna know
D
Wanna go, wanna go, wanna go
G
Wanna know, wanna know, wanna know
D
Wanna go, wanna go, wanna go
G
Wanna know, wanna know, wanna know
[Chorus]
Em
Take me to your river
D
I wanna go
Em
Lord, please let me know
Take me to your river
D
I wanna know

So, just saying, they did say this was their first tab... i can't imagine it's the easiest thing to do (I know I am not experienced enough to make a tab). Maybe instead of criticizing, just leave it at the helpful corrections that more experienced members gave. Mistakes are how we learn...? GL and play on folks!
