Okay here are the 7 modes. The modes are based off major keys. What I will be showing you today is the 7 modes
typed out starting from Ionian and ending on Locrian in the key of A MAJ. Hence why we are starting on the 5th
fret for the first shape. Also if you were to adjust everything up by one fret you would now be in the
key of A# MAJ and so on and so on.
If you have any questions please reach out to me on instagram @flippy2good and just let me know you had
questions about the modes!
Ionian mode (A Ionian) (The Major scale or first major scale shape) Sounds great over the Amaj chord.
e|------------------------------------------------7--9--10--|

D|--------------------6--7--9-------------------------------|
A|-----------5--7--9----------------------------------------|
E|--5--7--9-------------------------------------------------|

Aeolian Mode (F# Aeolian) (6th scale shape of Amaj) Sounds great under VI chord (F# minor) Now here is the
catch with this mode - this is the RELATIVE MINOR of Amaj.
Meaning these work hand in hand with the Regular Major scale.
