This is "Dog Train" by the Levellers on the brilliant "Mouth to Mouth"
album. It is quite simple but if you have any changes to make then mail me
at Matt.Kilsby@BTInternet.com

The chords used are:

F#m E B D A
-2-	-0-	-x-	-x-	-x-|
-4-	-2-	-2-	-x-	-0-|
-4-	-2-	-4-	-0-	-2-|
-2-	-1-	-4-	-2-	-2-|
-2-	-0-	-4-	-3-	-2-|
-2-	-0-	-x-	-2-	-0-|

F#m, E, B, D, A (x3)

(Jon plays a melody with his fiddle over the top of these intro chords)

1st verse

Well this is murder
E B
Yeah I'm on the dog train
      D A
When all the breaks have failed
	   E F#m
And I'm going down hill.
And if you see me wave
E B
Yeah I'm only saying bye-bye
	   D A
There's not a single tear
E F#m
here in my eyes.

La la la la la
E B
La la la la la la la la
D A
La la la la la
E	F#m
La la la

Repeat intro chords once with different melody on fiddle over the top.

2nd verse
(Same chords as first verse)

And if you heard this before
Yeah I'm going to say it again
That life was easy when
I didn't have a clue
Because this is my job
Yeah I'm getting dog tired
Let's make the world brand new
How about you

Chorus (x2)

Play intro chords once again but this time there is brass over the top of

Chorus (to fade)

this tab is pretty rubbish.......... its mad how someone can play the gitbox enough to want to write a tab for people, but has such bent ears that when they play it to themselves they cant hear its proper bollocks......... it should be Am D D F(bar)C G Am

Pretty much all the way through the chord progression is:

Actual progression: F#m - Bm - A - F#m -
Transition chords : E D E (E)
(which are optional really)

So, uh, actually it's spot on. The way the author has put the layout makes it difficult to grasp but it's actually pretty much perfect. Tried it with a chromatic tuner, and it is indeed in F# natural minor.

It's mad how someone can play the gitbox enough to want to correct other people's tabs but have such bent ears that when they try to play it to themselves they can't hear that their suggested "correction" is just the original in a different key.
