[Verse]
B F# G#m
You'll never hear this song
F# B F# G#m F#
You'll never see the movie in my head
B F# G#m F#
But you infest my sleep, and your figure creeps
E F# G#m F#/A#
Through my walls and hums above my bed
B F# G#m F# B
I know your name, and that you're photogenic and tall
F# G#m F#
But I've never heard you talk
B F#
And there's something about you
G#m F#
That stabs me right through
[Pre-Chorus Interlude]
E F# G#m F#/A#
[Chorus]
E G#m F#
It isn't right for me to paint your picture
E G#m F#
Every night, but I do (I can't find sleep)
E G#m F# C#m
And it feels so wrong (I breathe too deep), to sing this song (into the sky)
E G#m F#
But maybe (as I walk and sing), somehow, you'll hear me (you'll hear a song)
B
And hum along
F# G#m F# E F# G#m F#/A#
You'll hum along, you'll hum along
[Verse]
B F# C#m F#
And I've only seen you once, at your graduation
B F# C#m F#
No cinematic glow or soft rock soundtrack
B F# G#m F# E
And I watched you move and breathe and cry
F# G#m F#/A#
And it felt so wrong
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
F# G#m
Maybe you'd be kidnapped by pirates
F# E
And they would take you to their hideout
F# G#m
As pirates often do
F#/A# B
But I'd find the secret map
F# G#m
And I would vigilante-bushwhack
F# E
Through the jungles of Peru
G#m F#
Just to save you and I'd take you north to Mexico
E G#m F#
Where you would tell me your life story on the steps of a Mayan temple
E G#m F# E
Where we'd camp singing nonsense songs in 12 bars to the jaguars, until you'd sense me
G#m F# E
Your eyes convincing, and I would kiss you like a hero in the half-light
G#m F# C#m E
Dryer sheets and peach shampoo, the smell of palm leaves, I'd sleep against you
G#m F# E
Until the natives found us, but they would crown us king and queen
G#m F# C#m E
And we could stay there, spend our days there, eating guava by the sea
G#m F#
And I could understand your views and you could fall in love with me

this definitely sounds like what Marshall (two L's?) plays, but is this also what Andrew plays?
by the way, how did
you get ur hands on a tab done by the band themselves?
+1

The band actually posts tabs in their fan forums by request, but you kinda gotta search around a bit to find them.
Several have been compiled on a fan site here: https://www.geocities.com/ludofansite/lyrics.html
As far as whose part
this is, Marshall plays bass, so it isn't him. This is Andrew's rhythm part. I don't have a tab for Tim Ferrell's lead
part/solo, sorry. But, I hope you enjoy this tab!

Good chords, but difficult to read.
