This tab is 100% correct. It was actually tabbed out by the band themselves, so any
you have, you can take up with the guys that wrote the song in the first place. Here ya go

Hum Along
Lyrics and rhythm guitar / bass notes

[B]You’ll never [F#]hear this song
[G#]You’ll never see the [F#]movie in my head
But you in[B]fest my sleep [F#] and your [G#]figure creeps[F#]
Through my [E]walls and [F#]hums above my [G#]bed. [A#]
I [B]know you’re name [F#][G#] and that you’re photo[F#]genic and [B]tall
But I’ve [F#]never heard you [G#]talk [F#]
And there’s [B]something [F#] about you [G#] that stabs me [F#] right through.
[E][F#][G#]

CHORUS
[A#] It isn’t [E]right [G#]
For [F#]me to paint your picture
Every [E]night, [G#] but I [F#]do
(I can’t find [E]sleep) And it feels so wrong
(I [G#]breathe too [F#]deep) To sing this song
(In[C#]to the [E]sky) But maybe (as I) [G#](walk and sing)somehow
you’ll [F#]hear me (you’ll hear a song) and hum a[B]long

[F#]You’ll hum A[G#]long [F#]
You’ll hum A[E]long [F#][G#][A#]
And I’ve [B]only seen you [F#]once
At your [C#]graduation [F#]
No [B]cinematic [F#]glow or soft rock [C#]soundtrack [F#]
And I [B]watched you move [F#] and [G#]breathe [F#]
And [E]cry and it [F#]felt so wrong [G#]

REPEAT CHORUS

Maybe you’d be [F#]kidnapped by [G#]pirates
And they would [F#]take you to their [E]hideout
As [F#]pirates often [G#]do
But I’d [A#]find the secret [B]map
And I would [F#]vigilante-bush [G#] whack
Through the [F#]jungles of Peru[E]

Just to save[G#] you and I’d [F#]take you north to Mexico,
Where you would [E]tell me your life [G#]story on the [F#]steps of a Mayan temple,
Where we’d [E]camp singing [G#]nonsense songs in 12 [F#]bars to the jaguars, until you’d
me, your eyes con[G#]vincing, and I would [F#]kiss you like a hero in the [E]half-light,
Dryer [G#]sheets and peach sham[F#]poo, the smell of palm leaves, I’d [C#]sleep
you, until the [G#]natives found us, but [F#]they would crown us king and queen,
[E] And we could [G#]stay there, spend our days[F#]there, eating [C#]guava by the
and I could [G#]understand your views[F#] and you could fall in love with me.

SOLO [E G# F# C# E G# F#
G# F# C# E G# F#]

And while the [E]silly human race[G#] talks to droids[F#] in outer-space, [C#]we grow
and [G#]laugh about this song[F#]
And be[E]tween the jungle [G#]and the stars, [F#]you sing nonsense songs[C#] in 12 bars
[E]me and [G#]in my sleep[F#] I hum a[B]long.

You’ll never [F#]hear this song
[G#]You’ll never see the [F#]movie in my head...

this definitely sounds like what Marshall (two L's?) plays, but is this also what Andrew plays?

by the way, how did
you get ur hands on a tab done by the band themselves?

The band actually posts tabs in their fan forums by request, but you kinda gotta search around a bit to find them.
Several have been compiled on a fan site here: http://www.geocities.com/ludofansite/lyrics.html

As far as whose part
this is, Marshall plays bass, so it isn't him. This is Andrew's rhythm part. I don't have a tab for Tim Ferrell's lead
part/solo, sorry. But, I hope you enjoy this tab!

i think this is tim's part until the solo because i saw them in concert and andrew just played C and G over and over again. :)
