About this tab version
The spine of the song is here, all the rest is Neil Young-kinda licks all the time. Was this info helpful? Yes No
Mac is tuned (as usual) slightly above a regular E tuning. Capo 3rd fret

Here are the main licks he is using, but he loves to play around, remove a finger here and there. Follow
your guts on that.

Let ring all the notes he plays by themselves.

[Verse]

e|-----0------0--------0-----------------1--------1--|
B|-----1---1-----------0-----0--3-----1--------1-----|
G|-----2-----------2-----2--------2--------2---------|
D|-----3--------0--------0--------3--------3---------|
A|-----3--------2--------2--------3--------3---------|
E|(0)--1--------3--------3--------1--------1---------|

[Chorus]

e|--------0-----------------0--0-----1-----1-------|
B|--5--------------0--3--3-----1--1-----1--1-------|
G|--5--5-----4--4-----3--------2--------2----------|
D|--4--------5--------2--------3--------3----------|
A|--5--------5--------3--------3--------3----------|
E|-----------3-----------------1--------1----------|

e|--------0-----------------0--0-----1-----1-------|
B|--5--------------3--3--3-----1--1-----1--1-------|
G|--5--5-----4--4-----3--------2--------2----------|
D|--4--------5--------2--------3--------3----------|
A|--5--------5--------3--------3--------3----------|
E|-----------3-----------------1--------1-----(0)--|

Sometimes he palm-mutes the first chord of the chorus if he plays the 0 on the E string right before
starting over the chorus riff.

The layers of electric guitar are just the chords done in the chorus with a volume pedal, an auto-pan and
delay.

For the effects part, he only uses some reverb.

Have fun, glad to see more acoustic guitar in his songs.

If your tuner has the option to change the frequency, change it to A=452hz from A=440hz to get the same tone as Mac (or as close as can be approximated).

Loving those chords in the chorus. Wonderful melody too. Nicely tabbed!
