Song: House of Fun
Artist: Madness
Tabbed by: Þórir H. Bergsson
This song is mighty fun and, if done well, the bass can doodle a bit in between these
which are all exactly like on the record.
You can move the notes lower or higher on the neck of the bass as you wish, but since
tends to play higher up on the neck and I hate two-digit numbers in tabs I wrote it like this:
[Intro]

Hi, great tab
Here's just a few things I noticed:
That first phrase in the intro should be played three times, to make four phrases (including the last phrase before the vocals come in) instead of the three phrases used in the verse. (I hope that makes sense)
Also, that third phrase in the chorus could be played on the E and A strings, just a few semitones higher than the first two phrases. This is much easier when changing between the two phrases, especially as this is quite a quick paced-piece.
Basically, it could look like this:
[tab]
F#m D#7 F#m C#7
G|---------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------|
A|-9---9-7---------9---9-----------|
E|---------10--10----------9---9---|
[/tab]
Having said this, the fill you have used in the outro should really look like this if you are to play the above tab on the E and A strings instead of the A and D strings:
[tab]
Em C7 Em B7
G|---------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------|
A|-7---7-5---------7---7-------5-7-|
E|---------8---8-----------7-9-----|
[/tab]
I also play the chorus a little differently, like so:
[tab]
Em C7 Em B7
G|---------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------|
A|-7---7-5-------5-7---7-5-------5-|x2
E|---------8---8-----------7-7-8---|
F#m D#7 F#m C#7
G|---------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------|
A|-9---9-7---------9---9-----------|
E|---------10--10----------9---9---|
Em C7 B7
G|-----------------|
D|-----------------|
A|-7---7-5---------|
E|---------8---7---|
[/tab]
Sorry about the long comment. :)
+1

In the chorus it should be D natural 7 instead of D sharp 7
