[Verse 1]
F                               Am
The gap that grows between our lives
                        Dm
The gap our parents never had
                                Bb
Stop those thoughts control your mind
                C#              C
Replace those things that you despise
        Am              Bb
Oh you're old I hear you say
             C                Dm
It doesn't mean that I don't care
        Gm              Bb
I don't believe in it anymore
        C#                      C*
Pathetic acts for a worthless cause

[Pre-Chorus] (x2)
Dm      Gm     C              Am
In the beginning when we were winning
Bb                      Asus4  A
When our smiles were genuine

But now unforgiven, the everlasting everlasting

[Verse 2]
F                        Am
The world is full of refugees,
                                    Dm
they're just like you and just like me
                        Bb
But as people we have a choice
           C#                 C
to end the void with all it's force
            Am              Bb
So don't forget or don't pretend
             C                Dm
it's all the same now in the end
        Gm                 Bb
It was said in a different light
             C#                 C*
destroys my days and haunts my nights

The last chord is Dm9. you can play it like this:

E||--0--
B||--6--
G||--7--
D||--7--
A||--5--
E||-----

sorry for being petty, but it's that last chord that just sounds better this way. Good tab!
