No, Fmaj7 is correct. Dm makes it sound very Paul Simon!

Instead of Fmaj7 try Dm. Also, I think that the Em in the first line works better with a G. In the second line, a C after the F transitions better. One last detail. In line 7 of the lyrics an E7 sounds a bit better
