This is MPJ's cover of the Tom Waits original

Intro: C/G Fmaj7

         C/G
Well the phone's off the hook
       Fmaj7
No one knows where we are
                         C/G G
It's a long time since I drank Champaign
    Am G Fmaj7 C/G
The ocean is blue as blue as your eyes
          C/G G C/G
I'm gonna take it with me when I go

    C/G
Now long, long ago
    Fmaj7
And way back when
                  C/G G
We lived in Coney Island
Am G Fmaj7 C/G
Ain't no good thing ever dies
          C/G G C/G
I'm gonna take it with me when I go

          Am Fmaj7
Far, far away
                C/G G
A train whistle blows
                Am
Wherever you're going
    Fmaj7 G
Wherever you've been
           Am Fmaj7
Waving goodbye
                  C/G G
At the end of the day
                     Am
You're up and you're over
           Fmaj7 G
And you're far away

C/G
Always for you
    Fmaj7
And forever yours
                      C/G G
It felt just like the old days
   Am G Fmaj7 C/G
We fell asleep on Beulah's porch
          C/G G C/G
I'm gonna take it with me when I go

C/G
All broken down
       Fmaj7
On the side of the road
                  C/G G
I was never more alive or alone
     Am G Fmaj7 C/G
I've worn the faces off all the cards
          C/G G C/G
I'm gonna take it with me when I go

             Am Fmaj7
Children are playing
                  C/G G
At the end of the day
              Am
Strangers are singing
Fmaj7 G
On our lawn
               Am Fmaj7
It's got to be more
          C/G G
Than flesh and bone
                Am
All that you've loved
   Fmaj7 G
Is all you own

     C/G
In a land there's a town
            Fmaj7
And in that town there's a house
            C/G G
And in that house there's a woman
    Am G Fmaj7 C/G
And in that woman there's a heart I love
          C/G G Am Fmaj7
I'm gonna take it with me when I go
          C/G G C/G
I'm gonna take it with me when I go
