The whole riff is played fast in the same tempo, but the end has “–“ between the
power-grips to show that you play at fret nr 8,10 and 12…
  It may also sound better and more groovy if you play only 3 strokes on each
notes and only stroke down, not up and down. Do what you like best.

The tuning on the album release is C# standard. I don't know about live.
low to high: C# F# B E G# C#
