Chords between bracktes "()" are optional
Sidenotes can be found between square brackets "[]"
G
Let's start at the very beginning
G
A very good place to start
F C
When you read you begin with A-B-C
F C
When you sing you begin with do-re-mi
C
Do-re-mi, do-re-mi
G F C
The first three notes just happen to be
C
Do-re-mi, do-re-mi
C (F) (C) G
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti
Let's see if I can make it easy
C
Doe, a deer, a female deer
G7
Ray, a drop of golden sun
C
Me, a name I call myself
G7
Far, a long, long way to run
C F
Sew, a needle pulling thread
D7 G7
La, a note to follow Sew
E7 Am C7/Bb
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
F G C
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)
[Repeat verse twice]
C F C G C
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do-so-do!
Once you have these notes in your heads,
you can sing a million different tunes by mixing them up.
C F C G
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re
C F C G C
So Do La Ti Do Re Do
[While repeating C F C G:]
But it doesn't mean anything.
So we put in words. One word for every note. Like this.
C F C G
When you know the notes to sing
C F C G C
You can sing most anything
[repeat above verse twice]
C
Doe, a deer, a female deer
G
Ray, a drop of golden sun
C
Me, a name I call myself
F
Far, a long, long way to run
C F
Sew, a needle pulling thread
D G
La, a note to follow Sew
E Am
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
F G C
That will bring us back to Do
C G C F C F G C
Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
C G F C F C G
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re
C
Do Mi Mi
C
Mi So So
G
Re Fa Fa
G
La Ti Ti
C F C G
When you know the notes to sing
C F C G C
You can sing most anything!
[In this verse, a G is actually played instead of an F,
but I think it sounds better this way]
C
Doe, a deer, a female deer
G
Ray, a drop of golden sun
C
Me, a name I call myself
F
Far, a long, long way to run
C F
Sew, a needle pulling thread
D G
La, a note to follow Sew
E Am
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
F G
That will bring us back to
C

Finally one that actually 'starts at the very beginning'!

Much sought after and pleased to find this

Re Fa Fa with the F Chord, followed by the G chord already assigned to La Ti Ti sounds better. Thinking of it chord G doesn't have the D (Re) and the F (Fa) notes included.
However I prefer to play the real note on these ones.
