I have included the German words as a second verse for anyone feeling ambitious, I have written them phonetically instead of correctly so that a non-German speaker like myself would read and sing them so that the words would be pronounced correctly. Play it or not it is totally up to you, or skip it completely. The entire song is played in 3/4 time (like a waltz) and sounds nice if you play the low strings once and then the high strings twice in every bar.

Thank you!!! I have to learn this for choir in German. I spent over an hour looking for a version in German. I don’t speak German but the way I was taught to pronounce these words didn’t really sound like what was written. It’s just probably me but thanks!
