The Am/E chord should be played with the bass on the D string 2nd fret E rather than on the open 6th string.

The chorus is just not right.
I pick it and use G with a D at the third fret 2nd string instead of Dm7. This is then followed by C with a G on the first string. The following C I replaced with Am.
These at lease sound good and true to the melody.

Sorry but I feel like these chords are a wee bit off. Usually I play the chorus G,D,Em,D,G,D,Em,D and then the verses Em,Am,C,Em,Em,Am,C,Em,D...It gives the song the Major feel in the chorus and the minor feel in the verses, and as the skye boat song is supposed to be kept a simple "beginners" song I like it thats way. No offence to the writer of this version just giving some constructive criticism x
