Mo Kenney – The Happy Song
(Capo 4th)
Intro G,B7,C,G,D,G

G B7 C
what could I say? what could I say?
                     G
there was nothing to do
              D G
and there was no one to blame
           B7 C D
I learn to watch myself fade
G B7
when I see you walk away
  C G D G
I pretend to feel some kind of pain
                      B7 C D
I was always a pretty good actor, anyway

Em,C,G x2
Hummmm

G B7 C
I dont feel tired, I dont feel shy
                G D G
I havent gone a day without telling a lie
                  B7 C D
and my conscience feels no weight
G B7 C
and every time I end up on the floor
                        G
its always something I do
               D G
that keeps the lock on the door
            B7 C D
and there is no other way

           Em C G
its the faces on the page
              Em C G
that bring me back here every day
         Em C G
to the place I was before
           Em C G F C
but I wont chase that feeling anymore

Whistle whistle
G,B7,C,G,D,G, B7,C,D

G B7 C
and every time I end up on the floor
                        G
its always something I do
               D G
that keeps the lock on the door
             B7 C D
and there is no other way

       Em C G
if the faces on the page
               Em C G
could bring me back here every day
             Em C G
then I would have something to say
           Em C G
but all my words have lost their sway
            Em C G
well I dont want to waste your time
            Em C G
by spitting out another line
              Em C G
because youve heard it all before
          Em C G F C G
so I wont chase that feeling anymore

End

Does anyone know the picking pattern she uses in the song? I am having trouble figuring it out. Thanks!

A7 should be an F ( though without correcting for capo, it'd be right!)
