On the B chord it sounds like he's letting the bottom
E string ring out when he plays it in the chorus and the last time he plays it in the verse.

[Verse]
B
It's been a day or years of me thinking 'bout you everyday
B
Sometimes for hours, sometimes in passing
F#
Saw you from the bottom of the staircase
F#
Stood out for hours as you complained
G#
About how you haven't seen your friends yet
G#
That you're too drunk to stand and
A#maj7 B
You not knowing if you can love him forever

B
Bullshit you fucking miss me
B F#
There I said it I guess I'll talk to you in a few months
F#
Sitting drunk on the sidewalk
F#
I guess I'll get up
F# G#
I guess I'll go for a walk
G#
Brushed my shoes against the pavement
G#
I swear this has gotta be the hundredth
Amaj7 B
Time I thought of you tonight

[Chorus]
G# B
You weren't the only one
       F# G#
Who thought of us that way
G# B F#
I spend most nights awake

Wide awake

G# B
I never thought that I
  F# G#
Oh I would see the day
      G# B
Where I'd just let you go
                 F#
Let you walk away
                        B
Oh I let you walk away

[Verse]
B
Used to call

You crook called you a bandit
B F#
There ain't no other good damn reason why

My heart, it would go missing
                                       G#
For so many months so I was wishing that you

That you would stop pretending

Remember all those countless nights
        F#
When I told you I loved you
             B
And to never forget it

Oh just forget it

[Chorus]
G# B
You weren't the only one
        F# G#
Who thought of us that way
G# B F#
I spend most nights awake

Wide awake

G# B
I never thought that I
   F# G#
Oh I would see the day
       G# B
Where I'd just let you go
               F#
Let you walk away

Oh I let you walk away

[Chorus]
G# B
You weren't the only one

G#m not G# and to me it sounds better to play E instead of B during the chorus. Also at the end of the verses, playing F# E instead of A# B.
