Modest Mouse - Lives
Tuning: EADGBe
Time Signature: 6/8

This is basically a combination of the other tabs of this song and the corrections on
site.
Thanks to Cory M. (ver 2), bbkeen (ver 3), mcnelligen (corrections to ver 3), and
(ver 5).
Ver 5 on this site has the background eletric guitar parts if you really want them. I
also added some strumming patterns and changed the chords on the “It’s hard to remember
a
little bit. My version sounds a little better to me, but I’m not exactly sure how Isaac plays
them.

[Intro]
E ----------------------------------------------------|
B ----------------------------------------------------|
G -------------------2b-------------------------------|
D -------2-0-----0-4----4-------2-0-------------------|
A ---0-4-----4-2------------0-4-----4-2-4\7-4-2-0-----|
E -2----------------------2-----------------------0---|

[Play this intro riff 4 times]

“You were the dull sound”
E ---------|
B ---------|
G ---------|
D -----4---|
A --4--2---|
E --2------|
The strumming pattern changes throughout this section. Play:
E E E E SSSS (x4)
E SSSSE SSSS (x4)

F# B
You were the dull sound of sharp math when you were alive”
F# B
and no one's gonna play the harp when you die,
F# B
and if I had a nickel for every damn time, I'd have
F# B
half the time, do you mind?

[Play intro riff 3 times]

[Then play this transition] (thanks to onlymodestmouse’s version for this)
    E. E S E. E S E. E S E S S E

In case your like me trying to play this on an acoustic with no cutaway, for the "It's hard to remember" bit I play this: e|------------------------------------------| B|--3---0---3---0---0---0---3---------| G|--0---0---0---0---2---0---0---------| D|--2---2---2---2---2---2---2---------| A|--3---3---3---3---3---3---3---------| E|-----------------------------------------|

sorry if I am incorrect but should the open e at the end of the intro be there? it sounds to me like there are only three notes after the four to seven slide and I can't manage to make it sound normal with that extra note. otherwise great though
