Artist: Modest Mouse
Song: Let It Drop
Album: We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
Tabbed By: Andy G.

      A C F G
  e --5--3--1--3--|
  B --5--5--1--3--|
  G --6--5--2--4--|
  D --7--5--3--5--|
  A --7--3--3--5--|
  E --5--x--1--3--|

A C
We were spitting venom at most everyone we know,
G F
If the dam gave us a road map then we’d know just where to go
            A C G F
Now let it drop, let it all drop, let it all drop, let it all fall off,
     A C
Well you were talking soda pop, you talk it quite a lot
     G F
The opinions that I do not give the opinions I aint got.
          A C G F
So let it drop, let it all drop, let it all drop, let it all fall off,

A C G F

A C
You were spitting venom at most everyone you know,
G F
if you truly knew the gravity you’d know which way to go.
             A C G F
Well let it drop, let it all drop, let it all drop, aw let it all fall off.
   A C
My ears were pressed so firmly right against your mounted ear*
          G F
When you tried to spit the venom out your words were not so clear.

Now Drop!

It gets electric from here, i'll figure it out later or someone else can. Later in the
at about 3:23 it goes back to this acoustic part again. I don't feel like typing it all
but, you guessed it, same chords.

*Not sure what he says here but I think its something like that.

Yeah, uhm...... it's right in the FIRST LYRIC...
And the chords are basically right minus the notes on the top 2-3 strings. Just the basic power chords... not barre chords... basically exactly the same as I Came as a Rat.

ya, i noticed that they bring back some melodies from "The Moon And Antarctica" alot in "We were dead..." for example,
"spitting Venom"
and " I came as a rat" use the same chords in the same order, and the end of "Parting oof the
Sensory" sounds the alot like a part in "the stars are Projectors"
