[Verse 1]
Am G C
I hope that you like it in your little motel
        C G F
And I hope that the suite sleep suits you well
            Am C F
Well I can see it as time and a sight through smell
Am C F
That's why it's nice to be by yourself

[Chorus]
         Am C
'Cause that's what I'm waiting for
Am G
That's what I'm waiting for
C F
That's what I'm waiting for, aren't I?
Am C
That's what I'm waiting for
G C
That's what I'm waiting for
C F
That's what I'm waiting for, darlin

[Verse 2]
      Am G C
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and
                                G F
I know that I don't wanna be put out to drift
           Am G C F
Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and
        Am G F
They both tell me we're better than this

[Chorus]
           Am G
'Cause that's what I'm waiting for
 G Am
That's what I'm waiting for
C F
That's what I'm waiting for, aren't I?
Am G
That's what I'm waiting for
G C
That's what I'm waiting for
C F
That's what I'm waiting for, darlin

[Verse 3]
       Am G C
We trade tit for tat, yeah, that for this
          Am G F
And I don't think that there was an insult that was missed
        Am G C F
I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and
Am G F
I'm very sorry

[Chorus]
         Am G
'Cause that's what I'm waiting for
         G Am
That's what I'm waiting for
C F
That's what I'm waiting for, aren't I?
Am G
That's what I'm waiting for
G C
That's what I'm waiting for
C F
That's what I'm waiting for, darlin

[Verse 4]
          Am C
The remainders of a shooting star
                         G C F
Landed directly on our broke-down little car
          Am C F
Before then we had made a wish
          Am G C
That we would be missed
   Am G C
If one or another just did not exist

[Chorus] (x3)
        Am G
'Cause that's what I'm waiting for
 G C
That's what I'm waiting for
Am F
That's what I'm waiting for, aren't I?
Am G
That's what I'm waiting for
G C
That's what I'm waiting for
Am F
That's what I'm waiting for, darlin

Chords aren't very well placed, not accurate, but good if you want an easy way to play it I guess.

Good song though.

I thought this was well deserving of five stars. I think people may find it hard to play rhythm guitar on something so predominately weird noise filled. But I'm a huge fan of this song and I know these chords work and they are in the right spot and everything. The other chord submission for this song just sucks and is soo not deserving of five stars. Good job

Yeah, definitely not how Modest Mouse plays it, but it sure does work if you're doing an acoustic version. Not bad. Great effort. 4 starts. :)
