For Quiet Part 2 (the 12/7 reach part) you can just do A12 and G12 instead of D7 and G12. Makes the reach easier:)

I'm not 100% sure, as it's difficult to see in live videos (and Dom does some strange mute-looking thing with his left thumb), but I'm pretty sure the D string is tuned down to C. It Makes the whole song easier and the bass notes can ring out properly, like in the song. Give it a try! And yes, this is one of the best bass lines ever.
