Tuning: Double drop D (DADGBD)

I'm not sure at all what the actual chord names are for some of these, so I've went by
what the bass note is pretty much. If anyone knows the
actual names feel free to comment and let me know :) For reference, look to this video
where Marcus plays it on guitar! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEEOmVYynpg
This was worked out from this live version in the link provided, for the album version
its the exact same but in the banjo solo its a bit elongated. After you play through
what I've said, it repeats D, G, A2, B, D2 once more :)

Chords used:

A - 002222
D - 000230
G - 5x0400
A2 - 7x0600
B - 9x0700
B/E - 9x0900
B/F# - 9x01100
D2 - 12x01100 or x0121100 (take your pick, either works!)

(Banjo effects! Optional, but help if you're playing solo!):

* = Hammer on second fret of g string during D chord
** = Hammer on second fret of g string during D chord and (optional) walk down high D
(formerly e) string fret 4 then 2 then 0.

Intro:

             A D A
And in the middle of the night, I may watch you go. There'll be no value in
                                       D G
the strength of walls that I'll have grown. There'll be no comfort in the
  A2 B A2 G A D A D
shade of the shadows thrown. But I'd be yours, if you'd be mine.

Verse #1:

D * G D * G
Stretch out my life, pick the seams out. Take what you like, but close my
 A2 B G D A D A D **
ears and eyes. Or watch me stumble, over and over. I had done wrong, you
  G D ** G A2 B G
built your tower. But call me home, and I will build a throne. And wash my
 D A D A D
eyes out, never again.

Chorus:

(Palm muted, increases in volume closer to the end of each chord)
D G A2 B
But love the one you hold, and I will be your gold. To have and to hold, a
              D **
lover of the light.

Verse #2:

D ** G D ** G A2
With skin too tight, and eyes like marbles. You spin me high, so watch me as
    B G D A D A D ** G
I glide. Before I tumble homeward, homeward. I know I've tried, I was not
   D ** G A2 B G D
stable. And flawed by pride, I miss my sanguine eyes. So hold my hands up,
   A D A D
breathe in and breathe out.

Chorus #2:

(Quieter strumming, increases in volume closer to the end of each chord)
D G A2 B
So love the one you hold, and I will be your gold. To have and to hold, a
               D **
lover of the light!

Horn solo:
(Listen to a live version and you'll pick up the strumming pattern of this bit easy enough)

B/E B B/E B/F# B D (x2)

Bridge:
             A D A
And in the middle of the night I may watch you go. There'll be no value in
                                       D G
the strength of walls that I'll have grown. There'll be no comfort in the
  A2 B A2 G A2 B
shade of the shadows thrown. You may not trust the promises of the change
 A2 G A D A D
I'll show. But I'd be yours, if you'd be mine.

Banjo solo:
(* at the start of every D chord)
D as Winston goes through his pattern 4x
G as he goes through 1x
D as he goes through 1x
G as he goes through 1x
A2 as he goes through 1x
B as he goes through 1x
D2 as he goes through 1x

Tab for if you want to do the pattern yourself:

D|--0(h)2--4--2--5--4--2--0--5/7--5--4--2--0--0-0-0----|
B|---------------------------------------------0-0-0---|
G|-----------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------|

Chorus #3:
(Quiet and increasing volume towards end of chords first time, strum like you mean it
second time!)

                      G A2 B
So love the one you hold, and I'll be your gold. To have and to hold, a lover
         D **
of the light! (x2)

(** At the end of the first time only here)

Enjoy :)
