The thingy on his guitar is the stab control from the built in fuzz factory! i think haha. but nice tab! such a simple but amazing song...

It's not the Stab he uses, it's the Compression. The FF settings are Gate:7 Comp:12 Drive:12 Stab:10 using the clock system (Like, the knob points to 10 o'clock). What Matt does live is take the Comp from 5 to 12.
