We have an official Map Of The Problematique tab made by UG professional guitarists.
Check out the tabTrack: Map of The Problematique
Artist: Muse
Album: Black Holes and Revelations
Tabbed by: PitchImperfect
Date: 04.07.06
Tuning: Standard
This is the re-worked version. I saw Muse a while ago and noticed that Chris played an
way up the neck of the bass. So I figured it out and wrote it down. Hope you like it;
personally think this is the best tune on the new album...hard to play though.
[Intro]
This bit starts up as the drums do but very quiet at first. Build the volume up over
first bar.

Before matts small solo where theres no bass, is played much slowe, witout a pick
+1

The tab is right, except that Chris doesn't play it that fast at the second part of the song :)
I checked in many many many live videos, such as the Reading Festival, Live at Abbey Road, Top of the Pop, and some YouTube videos, and I can say that he's not playing that fast =]
btw, this tab is good (y) 4 stars

It's really quick, I play it all with a pick cos the whole thing is in 16th's. The one thing I've never noticed is the very start of the intro, I've always just come in on the 20. But as you say, it fades in so it may be that I just haven't noticed. EventHoriz0n is right though, he goes up the A string rather than changing strings at all. Great tab!
