Oh, Lonesome Me
Neil Young
After the Gold Rush
Richard Blackwell (rdb2010@shaw.ca)
I found a rendition of “Oh, Lonesome Me” by Neil Young on YouTube. I capoed up
four and tried playing along for a while. This is what came out.
Neil seems to like to pull-off/hammer-on notes in his chords (e.g., in this piece
the E (middle finger) in his open C chords, the A (again, middle finger) in his
open F chords). Those oh-so-Neil-like embellishments are not reflected here.

No, you are wrong. I'm quite familiar with Young's version, and there are a number of incorrect chords, I can see just by looking at it. I'm not going to re-do the entire song, but here are just some of the wrong ones I see off the top of my head (correct chords in brackets):
C C7[Bb/D bass] F Fm
I've thought of everything from A to Z,
Bb F C
Oh, oh, lonesome me.
Dm[Dm7] G Em[Em7] A7
I bet she's not like me. She's out and fancy free
F[Dm7] [F] C
flirtin? with the boys with all her charms.
Dm[Dm7] G Em[Em7] A7
But I still love her so and brother don't you know
F[Dm7] G[D7] C[G/descending bass]
I'd welcome her right back here in my arms.
The last line is especially egregious. There are probably more mistakes, but I didn't go over the entire song.
+1

C9 is better instead of C7 Thanks for the tab though
