Strumming
There is no strumming pattern for this song yet. and get +5 IQ
It's pretty much just Am and G. Because I feel slack just submitting 2 chords, I'll elaborate!

  Am
e|0--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|1------------------------------------------------------------------------1-|
G|2------------------------------------------------------------------------2-|
D|2------------------------------------------------------------------------2-|
A|0----------------------------------------------------------------------2-0-|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

  G
e|3---OR-3-|
B|0------3-|
G|0------0-|
D|0------0-|
A|2------2-|
E|3------3-|

Listen to the song to get the timing of the chord changes.

[Verse 1]

Am G Am
Go son, go down to the water
And see the women weeping there
Then go up into the mountains
The men, they are weeping too

[Verse 2]

Father, why are all the women weeping?
They are weeping for their men
Then why are all the men there weeping?
They are weeping back at them

[Chorus]

G Am
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
Am G
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long

[Verse 3]

Father, why are all the children weeping?
They are merely crying son
O, are they merely crying, father?
Yes, true weeping is yet to come

[Chorus]

This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long

(It's the same chords here, as usual, but you can play softer or stress the bass
for this part if you like.)

[Verse 4]

O father tell me, are you weeping?
Your face seems wet to touch
O then I'm so sorry, father
I never thought I hurt you so much

(play as usual)

[Chorus]

This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While we rock ourselves to sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long

I know this is waaayy late, but I came across this song in an odd way and ended up liking it.

Anyway.

So, bar the 3rd fret with a Em pattern with your remaining fingers for Gm

The chords are F and Gm.

That's right. Also you can transpose it to Gm using the left menu, clicking the up arrow icon 10 times. thanks.
