I would suggest a little walk-up between Am and D7, especially if you do a bit of finger-picking (I'm not sure of the name of the chords though): Am(xo221o) Am7/G(3o2o1o) D7/F#(2oo212) D7(xxo212) The progression can also be used on the line before last: F G Am Am7/G D7/F# D7 For you to shine down on me (and then finish with F-G-C for the repeat)
