My good friend taught me this.

Scale: B major, then C# major

-------------------
! BEST WITH PIANO !
-------------------

B/F# F# G#m E/G#
The stars lean down to kiss you and I lie awake and miss you.
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
'Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly, but I'll miss your arms around me.
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
I'd send a postcard to you, dear, 'cause I wish you were here.

B/F# F# G#m E/G#
I'll watch the night turn light blue, but it's not the same without you.
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
Because it takes two to whisper quietly.
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
The silence isn't so bad, till I look at my hands and feel sad,
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
'Cause the spaces between my fingers are right where yours fit perfectly.

B/F# F# G#m E/G#
I'll find repose in new ways, though I haven't slept in two days
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
'Cause cold nostalgia chills me to the bone.
B/F# F# G#m E/G#
But drenched in vanilla twilight, I'll sit on a front porch all night
B/F# F# G#m E/G# E/G# B/F# F#
Waist-deep in thought because when I think of you, I don't feel so alone.

               E/G# B/F# F# E/G# B/F# F#
I don't feel so alone. I don't feel so alone.
   E/G# B/F# F# E E/B
As many times as I blink, I'll think of you, tonight.

E/G# B/F# F# - E/G# B/F# F#

                 E/G# B/F# F# - E/G# B/F# F#
I'll think of you tonight.

C#/G# G# A#m F#/A#
When violet eyes get brighter, and heavy wings grow lighter,
C#/G# G# A#m F#/A#
I'll taste the sky and feel alive again.
C#/G# G# A#m F#/A#
And I'll forget the world that I knew, but I swear I won't forget you.
C#/G# G# A#m F#/A# G#
Oh, if my voice could reach back to the past, I'd whisper in your ear:

"Oh, darling, I wish you were here."

C#/G# G# A#m F#/A# - C#/G# G# A#m F#/A#

Almost every one of those bass notes make no sense, but the chords are spot-on.

Except the bridge. That's not right at all.
