Standard Tuning: CAPO 2

A Bm
 Dear friend as you know
F#m
 Your flowers are withering
A Bm
 Your mother's gone missing
F#m
  Your leaves have drifted away

A Bm
But the clouds are clearing up
F#m
 And I've come reveling
A Bm
 Burning incandescently
F#m
Like a bastard on the burning sea

A Bm
 You're just like your father
F#m
 Buried deep beneath the water
A Bm F#m
 Your resting on your laurels
                   A
 Is stepping on my toes
       Bm
 Whose side are you on?
F#m
 What side is this anyway?
A Bm F#m
Put down your sword and crown

Come lay with me on the ground

A Bm
You come beating like moth's wings
F#m
 Spastic and violently
A Bm F#m
 Whipping me into a storm

Shaking me down to the core
A Bm
But you run away from me
F#m
 And you left me shimmering
A Bm
 Like diamond wedding rings
F#m
Spinning dizzily down on the floor

A Bm
 You're just like your father
F#m
 Buried deep beneath the water
A Bm F#m
 Your resting on your laurels
                   A
 Is stepping on my toes
       Bm
 Whose side are you on?
F#m
 What side is this anyway?
A Bm F#m
Put down your sword and crown

Come lay with me on the ground

A Bm
 You're just like your father
F#m
 Buried deep beneath the water
A Bm F#m
 Your resting on your laurels
                   A
 Is stepping on my toes
       Bm
 Whose side are you on?
F#m
 What side is this anyway?
A Bm F#m
Put down your sword and crown
                         A
Come lay with me on the ground

Transpose this down two steps and put the capo on four gives you much easier chords of G, Am and Em :)

The lyrics aren't "your pressing on your laurel", they're "you're resting on your laurels". These chords are great, though!

Just curious if anyone figured out the plucking tabs in the beginning? If you have the capo on four, playing G Am Em, I feel like it's similar to

E__3____5_____3____5___7____5_____3_____
B_______________________________________
G_______________________________________
D_______________________________________
A_______________________________________
E_______________________________________

Can anyone help me out? Much Thanks!
