 Verse1:
 A
I go out walking after midnight
        D D
Out in the moonlight just like we used to do
     A D E A
I'm always walking after midnight searching for you
        A
I walk for miles along the highway
           D D
Well that's just my way of saying I love you
       A D E A A7
I'm always walking after midnight searching for you

 Chorus:
              D Dm
I stopped to see a weeping willow
                 A
Crying on his pillow maybe he's crying for me
     D
And as the skies turn gloomy
                  Dm A E
Night Winds whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be

 verse2:
      A D
I go out walking after midnight out in the starlight
                     A D E A
Just hoping that maybe you're somewhere walking after midnight searching for me

 Chorus:
        D
I stopped to see a weeping willow
           Dm
Crying on his pillow maybe he's crying for me
   D
And as the skies turn gloomy
      Dm A E
Night winds whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be

 Verse3:
          A D
I go out walking after midnight out in the moonlight
   D A D E A
Just hoping that maybe you're somewhere walking after midnight searching for me

these are the right chords, (I vary it a little bit and play it in G). These songs were written simply...not with 8-12 chords...

I don't know what your talking about, there is only 4 chords, well really only 3 cause A7 is only used once.

I see where my comment was confusing. I was saying you, YOU were playing it RIGHT! I just do it in a differnt key...and mentioned how simply these songs were written. The person who posted Version 1 put bunches of other unneccessary/wrong chord in (imho). Sorry about the confusion! I should have been clearer. I've done this song at a couple of my acoustic gigs and use and have your version on my pad. Thanks for your work on it. Sincerely.
