Keep in mind this entire thing (except the vocal transpositions and ending riffs if you want to)
is finger picked. You CAN play it with a pick, I just prefer the sound of the finger picked
version and it's overall better to work with. Unless you have hands the size
of Shaqille O'Neal's or you are Jimi Hendrix, please do not use your thumb to play the bass line with,
it is incredibly painful when you can just use your index finger anyway!
INTRO/VERSE 1 NOTES: This is the same formation a D/F# chord, just moved up to the 4th fret
occasionally.
[Intro and Verse 1]
e|--------------------------|
B|--3-0--3-0---5-0---5-55-5-|
G|--2--2-2--2--4--4-4-4--4--| x4
D|--------------------------|
A|--------------------------|
E|-2----2-----4----4--------|
PRE-CHORUS 1 NOTES: The same D/F# chord formation, just moved to the 5th and 7th frets
and the picking's a bit different.
[Pre-Chorus 1]
e|-----------------|
B|-6--6-6--8--8-8--|
G|-5--5-5--7--7-7--|
D|-----------------| x2
A|-----------------|
E|-5-5-5-5-7-7-7-7-|
CHORUS NOTES: I have three versions for this. You can strum the chords,
(for rhythm guitar or if you don't wanna finger pick it) finger pick the chords (see arrangement below)
or, if you forgot your singer (A.K.A me ;-;) you can play the vocal transposition I created
(Still a bit rough, but below too.) The chords are found above the tab.
[Chorus V1 and V2]
D A G
e|-2--2-2------------|
B|-------3-2-3--3-3--|
G|-2-2-2----2--------|
D|-0-------2---------|
A|-------------------|
E|-----------3-3-3-3-|
[Chorus V3, vocal transposition]
e|---------------------------|
B|-3-3-3-2-3-2-0---2-3-2h3-3-|
G|--------------2-2---2------|
D|---------------------------|
A|---------------------------|
E|---------------------------|
VERSE 2 NOTES: So, there's two ways you can play this. You can play it the more acousticky kinda way,
where I just play the same as the first verse, or you can play it like it is in the song.
However, we can meet in the middle by using the part used in the song with finger picking added.
[Verse 2: Electric Boogaloo]
e|--------------------0-|
B|--3-0--3-0---5-0----3-|
G|--2--2-2--2--4--4---2-| Then strum that D/F# (with your fingers)
D|--------------------0-|
A|--------------------0-|
E|-2----2-----4----4--2-|
PRE-CHORUS 2 NOTES: You can strum the chords or finger pick it, whichever way suits you,
however, you can always play it like the first pre-chorus. Again, the chords will be above the tab.
The tab is for the finger picking, you play the F and G but completely ignore the top and bottom E
strings.
Yep, that's right, forget they exist.
[Pre-Chorus 2]
F G
e|DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE-|
B|-1---1---1---3---3---3-|
G|-2---2---2---4---4---4-|
D|-3---3---3---5---5---5-| Play that twice, then strum the G in increasing severity.
A|-3-3-3-3-3-3-5-5-5-5-5-|
E|DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE-|
CHORUS/OUTRO NOTES: It's literally just the same as the first chorus, just I've improved the finger
picking.
You can strum the chords too, if you wish.
[Chorus/Outro]
e|-2---2---2--------------|
B|-3---3---3---2--3---3---|
G|-2---2---2---2--0---0---|
D|-0-0-0-0-0-0-2--0---0---| xas many times as it takes
A|--------------0---------|
E|----------------3-3-3-3-|
BONUS RIFF NOTES: Just a couple riffs I figured out, not much. The first one's for the 'she loves him'
bit, the second is just this vocal thing Eddie does during the outro.
[Bonus Riffs]
e|-3-2-0--3-2-0-----2-3-2--2-0--2-2-0-0-------2---0-------|
B|------3------3-2-3----------3------3--3-2-3--3-3--3-2h3-|
G|--------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------|
e|-3-3-2-0-0-0--|
B|--------3-3-3-|
G|--------------|
D|--------------|
A|--------------|
