CAPO 1

THIS is the correct version. The last version I uploaded was ruined for some reason when
put it on the site. I hope this one comes out correctly.

This is basically a version of this song that will sound much nicer and open when played
just an acoustic guitar. The chords are played as follows (don't forget fret numbers
relative to the capo!):

E 022100
C#m x46650
B 024400
A x02220
E/Ab 422100 ...if this is too difficult, it can be played as a regular Ab bar chord: 466544

Using these chords will really give this song a nice open sound when playing alone..enjoy!

[Intro]

E C#m B C#m A (x2)

[Verse]

E C#m B C#m A
Once divided, nothing left to subtract
E C#m B C#m A
Some words when spoken can't be taken back
E C#m B C#m A
Walks on his own with thoughts he can't help thinking
E C#m B C#m
     C#m
Future's above, but in the past he's slow and sinking
A B A
A B
Caught a bolt of lightning, cursed the day he let it go

[Chorus]

E A B
Nothingman, nothingman
E A B

[Verse]

E C#m B C#m A
She once believed in every story he had to tell
E C#m B C#m A
One day she stiffened, took the other side
E C#m B C#m A
Empty stares from each corner of a shared prison cell
E C#m B C#m
   C#m
One just escapes, one's left inside the well
A B A E/Ab
       B
And he who forgets will be destined to remember oh oh oh

E A B
Nothingman, nothingman
E A B
Isn't it something? Nothingman

[Bridge]

C#m A B
Oh, she don't want him (she don't want him)
              A C#m A B C#m
Oh, she won't feed him, after he's flown away
    A E/Ab A
Oh, into the sun, yeah into the sun
                  B
Burn, burn, burn burn

[Chorus]

E A B
Nothingman, nothingman
E A B
Isn't it something? Nothingman
E A B
Nothingman, nothingman
E A B
Coulda been something, nothingman

[Outro]

E A E A E A E

sounds awesome. think an a5 (x02200) sounds a bit better than an A though but I haven't heard the song in quite a while and could be wrong

Good stuff man. Good version for an acoustic

This version is good but the chords are a little different than the original version. I think 079900 sounds a little better than the lower sounding 022100 E. And definitely A5 as suggested above.
