About this tab version
Most of the time, they play this with their guitar tuned at least 1, sometimes 2 steps down. This allows the heavier, root notes to really ring out underneath their harmonies. They also make great use of palm muting. Was this info helpful? Yes No

Believe it or not, it's actually just capo 1 in standard tuning. It sounds lower, but it's not.

Oh yeah, you're totally right for the album version. If you watch some of the live versions, most of them are no capo with the tuning down a step or two, though. For example, in this video they are tuned down 1/2 step.

Thanks for the comments, though, guys!
