I'm looking at Phil's handwritten chord charts and they are all natural chords not suspended or 2nd chords

Well if I wanted to copy the exact chord chart by Phil, I would have put a link and that's it. The fact is I've never made a tab this way.
The point in making this tab was to match the sound recording, hence the suspended and the 2nd chords. And when you capo your guitar on 2nd fret and play with the G chords, it sounds great.
I've also noticed that many artists play suspended chords and so on in their songs but when you look at the chord chart, regular chords are displayed (or sometimes it's the opposite).

But feel free to play regular chords because it doesn't change that much basically -- just a matter of sound quality.
