Pillar - Sunday Bloody Sunday
----------------------------------------
Tabbed by: Marilyn

This is a good remake of the U2 Classic. Pillar really does rok!

Main Riff (MR):

B|---------------------------------------------|
G|-------9----------9---------7---------7------|
D|----10---10----10---10---10---10---10---10---|
A|-12---------10---------8---------8-----------|
E|---------------------------------------------|

MR
I can't believe the news today
I can't close my eyes and make it go away

C2 Dm
How long? How long must we sing this song?
C2 Dm F
How long? How long?

MR
Tonight we can be as one - tonight

MR
Broken bottles under children's feet.
Bodies strewn across a dead end street.
But I won't heed the battle call.
It puts my back up, puts my back up against the wall.

Chorus:
MR
Sunday, bloody Sunday
Sunday, bloody Sunday
(Silent for one riff)
Sunday, bloody Sunday
Sunday, bloody Sunday

MR
And the battle's just begun
There's many lost, but tell me who has won?
Th trenches dug within our hearts,
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart.

C2 Dm
How long? How long must we sing this song?
C2 Dm F
How long? How long?

MR
Tonight we can be as one - tonight

(Chorus)

MR
And today the millions cry
We eat and drink but tomorrow they die
Now the battle's just begun
So claim the victory that Jesus won

(Chorus)

Pillar plays it a whole step down, so it's not the same as U2. The intro and everything is good on Marilyn's part, but where are the power chords? The main riff isn't even there on some of the verses. If someone wanted to play it like Pillar did, they wouldn't just play the main riff and a Dm C and F over and over. I'm putting up my own tab on this one. Feel free to make any comments you like on it.
