it’s easier if you place a capo on the bottom five strings at 4 and then do the chords written without having to barre at the fourth fret

This is what I'm hearing/seeing from their Audiotree live sessions: Emaj7: 076400 Amaj7: 576400 Im in standard tuning. Listen and look at the 2nd guitarists, it obvious this is what he's playing. Especially when he dose the arpeggios. The solo he's rocking the E maj scale with a slider, ascending and descending.

in the recent live vid he did, evan said that he tunes his high E down to a d#, and i'd also assume doesn't barre the entire 4th fret.
