Eh? Wouldn't the Dorian mode of Emin be F Dorian, not A Dorian?

What? If you take it to be E natural minor, or E Aolian, then that makes it G Ionian and hence A Dorian. F Dorian would correspond to C natural minor or C Aolian. Perhaps you mean an F# Dorian mode, which would correspond to E major (Ionian mode), not minor?
