Wow that worked like magic... Let's try that again.
Kamelion's correction is spot on. It seems that folks interpret the 2nd strumming chord incorrectly as a Dmin. The bass note played on the 2nd chord is an F; the hard-LR-panned doubled acoustic guitar is playing a Fmin7sus2add6 chord (I think...or else it's a Dminadd2add11. I personally think the descending bass line (F, E, D) compellingly implies a shift to Fmin, but I'm probably wrong about this harmonic analysis). The 4th chord, also, is typically simplified as Gmaj. It is a G6add9 chord, but it's fairly subtle and you have to listen closely because the bass drowns out the colors of the chord and the strumming pattern is different for most verses. This is by ear, and I'm not 100% confident that the G6add9 isn't both acoustic guitars playing different variations of that chord (one Gmaj and the other G6add9); you can hear that the g string is not played open in this chord, the g string is fretted at the 2nd fret (A = 2nd/9th of G).
^ = strum up
d = strum down
Dmaj Fm7sus2add6 A7sus4 G6add9 (sometimes the open e is played in the up-strum)
e |-2----0------------0-------(0)--------|
B |-3----3------------3--------3---------|
G |-2----0------------0--------2---------|
D |-0----3------------2--------0---------|
A |-----(0)-----------0--------x---------|
E |----------------------------3---------|
The A "(0)" in the 2nd chord is subtle and sometimes not played.
