The correct intro is Gmaj, Bm, Em, Dmaj and C in that order. Play these chords together and you should be able to work out the changes. On Dmaj, the 1st string should ring open.

For the intro, A) The tab on the initail intro is incomplete. 2 stroke on open D, then one on 2nd fret G, open D once, then 4-2-0-2 on the G then repeat. B) then try an alternate way on the 'walking down' the D5 chord shape (that IS the D5 chord after all, not D) from 7th fret on the G and 8th fret on the B. Go 7th, down to 5th, then 4th, then 2nd frets, then play the C.
For the verse, A) D5-C-G-A7. B) when playing D5, halfway through measure lift the finger fretting G-2nd fret and 'hammer on' once. When on the C, play about 2/3rds measure in C, then finger 3rd fret on B string last third (C7 chord shape)before hitting the G. On the 'A7 riff', First for strokes play A7 with 4th finger on 3rd fret of B string, lift and play 'normal' A7 2 strokes, then one w/ 4th back at 3rd fret, the one stroke on 'normal C', then one at D5, letting it ring. You gotta listen to the song to hear this, if you cannot understand my explanation, sorry.

The chords on the breaks are Bm F#m and Gmaj on "They said it couldn't be..."
