This works well. Thanks. A few videos online may suggest a slight change. Sounds a bit better to me. I used your take here with E and A rooted barre chords which seems like the smoothest route for me anyway. Plus, as a relatively new player, been focused on increasing the speed and accuracy. This is a great song for that. Chorus E - A - B like you suggest using barre chords Verse may sound a bit better with the C# added (getting up down strum) between the C - B that get quick up (C) down (B). Same strum pattern with G - A - B in second measure. E - D - C# - C - B E- D -G - A - B This one seemed the best to me. Good job. I heard this on Pandora and really wanted to learn it because it was iconic in terms of my formative years. REM and the Cure were the first bands that I identified with and thanks to help like this I can play it.
