thoms is dbdgbe. johnny standard. i swear that makes sense when i play it. (can mostly achieve same without uptuning that a to b)

You can see in this video that Thom does indeed play it in Drop D, though I agree, it's not entirely necessary. I don't think he ever actually plays the open low D. I suppose he just prefers the drop D fingerings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVNgv-VVNlo

I far I as understand, this song is not in standard tuning, it is in drop D. But this was still a very good tab! I actually think it sounds perfect and I will be playing it like this from now on.
