Tuning: D- Standard Tune all strings one step down
 
NOTE: Drop D might work if you dont want to tune your whole guitar:
Just work 2 frets lower (577 becomes 355 e.g.),
and replace the lowest power chords (022 becomes 000 e.g.)
and work the high melody part on the third string (D) instead.
I'd highly suggest D Standard, because the melody just pops a lot more on higher strings.
 
Also: practice slowly and with metronome. The songs structure is super simple, but you need
excellent timing on the high melody part for it to sound great. Enjoy!

Techniques used: Pretty straight forward. "/" means sliding up towards that fret.
Squeel is also called pinch harmonics. This a minor technique for picking a string so
a higher tone sounds along the original note. Google that if you are interested.
But this is very subtle and more of an recommendation. Feel free to just pick it as you are used to.
