There was no Thief
By: Relient K
Tabbed by: Amber

	A F#m D
For a time I thought there was a thief among us
	A F#m E
I thought I’d track him down but prior to my pursuit
	A F#m D
The smoke it cleared into my disbelief
		  E A/F#m D
There was no thief cuz it was me that lost you
		  E A/F#m E D
There was no thief cuz it was me that lost you

F#m A D
I guess it’s safe to say you’re never coming back
F#m A D
And I understand why you wouldn’t want to
E F#m D A D
I guess it’s up to me to find a way to get to you

A Bm D

                 A E
And there's just one last thing that I have to say
        F#m D
As we reflect on the mess of all this that I've made
       A E
It was cowardice that made me push you away
      F#m D
I was so afraid cause you were so much better than me

This sounds good and right by itself, but always play it with the song before posting it to check it's right. you'll find in this instance it's not. maybe you just have to tune down a half step or something, but it's not right. just thought I'd let you know. I love this song!

This is all correct except for the fact that it is actually played half a step lower. The original "The Theif" was played in A major, like you have here, but "There Was No Theif" is in Ab major.

it sound really good if you take the tab down two half steps then play with a capo on 1
