These are the chords to 'Reason To Believe" by Tim Hardin, as performed by
Rod Stewart on the "Unplugged" album. This is in the key to play along
with the recording.

Title: REASON TO BELIEVE (Tim Hardin)

      [Verse]

      G D G
If I listened long enough to you
                 C D G
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
      A D C G
Knowing that you lied straight faced while I cried
               Em C D
Still I look to find a reason to believe

      [Chorus]

               C D Em D
Someone like you makes it hard to live without somebody else
              C D Em D
Someone like you makes it easy to give never thinking about myself

      [Verse]

      G D G C G
If I gave you time to change my mind
                 C D G
I'd find a way to leave the past behind
      A D C G
Knowing that you lied straight faced while I cried
               Em C D
Still I look to find a reason to believe

      [Lead]

      (C D Em D (4X) )

      [Chorus]

                   C D Em D
Someone like you makes it hard to live without somebody else
                   C D Em D
Someone like you makes it easy to give never thinking about myself

      [Bridge]

      G D G
If I listened long enough to you
                 C D G
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
      A D C G
Knowing that you lied straight faced while I cried
               Em C D
Still I look to find a reason to believe
               Em C D
Still I look to find a reason to believe
               Em C D
Still I look to find a reason to believe
               Em C D
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Do you mean that you need a capo on 2 when you sing it so that it matches the key you are most comfortable with? Just wondering what you meant, because both the original and "Unplugged" versions are definitely in the key that the tabber shows.
