I can’t stand to see you sad
I can’t bear to hear you cry
If you can’t tell me what you need
All I can do is wonder why

Someday, Someway
There’s no need to cry
Someday, Someway
Cos I wonder why
Someday, Someway
Maybe I’ll understand you

After all you’ve done for me
All I really want to do
Is take the love you've brought my way
And give it all right back to you

Someway, Someday
There's no need to cry
Someway, Someday
Cos I wonder why
Someway, Someday
Maybe you'll understand me

You’ve taken everything from me
I’ve taken everything from you
I’ll love you for my whole life too

After all you’ve done for me
All I really want to do
Is take the love you've brought my way
And give it all right back to you

Someday, Someway
There's no need to cry
Someday, Someway
’Cos I wonder why
Someday, Someway
Maybe you'll understand me

You’ve taken everything from me
I’ve taken everything from you
I’ll love you for my whole life too

I can’t stand to see you sad
I can’t bear to hear you cry
If you can’t tell me what you need
All I can do is wonder why

Someday, Someway
There's no need to cry
Someday, Someway
Cos I wonder why
Someday, Someway
Maybe you'll understand me

Someday, someway
There's no need to cry
Someday, Someway
Cos I wonder why
Someday, Someway
Maybe you'll understand me

There’s no need to cry
Cos I wonder why
Maybe I’ll understand you

Someday, someway
There's no need to cry
Someday, Someway
Cos I wonder why
Someday, Someway
Maybe you'll understand me

I hope you all can understand it, and I hope its right.

I know the Marshall Crenshaw version of this and I believe to my ears you need to slip in an A chord. D-A-G is how the main riff/melody should go, at least to my ears. I love this song!
