Verse:

The afternoon has settled long and heavy on my shoulders
       F Am C F

The winter’s light feels different on my skin
          Dm G F C

It doesn't seem to strike as far below the surface so
   Dm Dm/C Am Am/G

I have to conclude that [shadow won't let it in ]
   D/F# [ F C ] x3

CHORUS:

December…
Dm

You've always been a problem child
                                G

December... You run me down restless and wild
C Am

And I remember when you used to be mine
           Dm G

Decembeeeeeeeeeeer-whoooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaah (lol)
C/G Am7 Em7 F

Bridge:
Distill a whole year down into a day
             Am G C Em F

Act like we all start over with a pristine slate
             Am G C Em F

But to get yourself a new life you've got to give the other one away
         Am G C Em Dm

And I'm starting to believe in the power of a name
             Dm G

Cause it can't be a mistake if I just call it change
             Dm G

Repeat Chorus for instrumental part.

Enjoy!!! Thanks again to Mr. Parrotte.

Great chords, good to play along with the recording, but next time could you please put the chords over the lyrics they go with? That formatting makes it a lot easier to read and to play along with seeing as it's pretty universally used here on UG. Thank you for the great chords anyway!
