Gonna Get Over You - Sara Bareilles (from Kaleidoscope Heart)
*there is a walking bass line, but these are the underlying chords
No capo

[Intro]

C
Goodbye, Should be sayin' that to you by now, shouldn't I?
                      C C/B Am
Layin' down the law that I live by,
                        C
Though maybe next time

[Verse 1]

C
I've got a thick tongue,
Brimming with the words that go unsung
                C C/B Am
Simmer then the burn for a someone,
        Bb
A wrong one

        F G
And I tell myself to let the story end,
        Em Am
My heart will rest in someone else's hand
        F G
My 'why not me?' philosophy began,

And I say

[Chorus]

C Am
Ooh, how'm I gonna get over you?
                F G
I'll be alright, just not tonight
C Am
Someday, oh I wish you'd want me to stay
                F G
I'll be alright, just not tonight,
C
Someday

[Verse 2]

C
Maybe is a vicious little word that can slay me
                        C C/B Am
Keep me when I'm hurting and make me,
C
Hang from your hands

C
Well, no more, I won't beg to buy a shot at your back door
                        C C/B Am
If I make it at the thought of you, what for?
Bb
It's not me anymore

F G
And I'm not the girl that I intend to be,
        Em Am
I dare you darling, just you wait and see
                F G
But this time not for you but just for me,
And I say

[Chorus]

C Am
Ooh, how'm I gonna get over you?
F G
I'll be alright, just not tonight
C Am
Someday, oh I wish you'd want me to stay
F G
I'll be alright, just not tonight,
Fm
Someday

[Verse 3]

                        C
say it's coming soon,
Am
Someday without you,
F G
All I can do is get me past the ghost of you,

Fm C
Wave goodbye to me,
Am
won't say I'm sorry,
I'll be alright
F G
once I find the other side of
        C
someday

C Am F G C Am F G etc
oohoohooohoohooh. . .

[Chorus]

C Am
Ooh, how'm I gonna get over you?
F G
I'll be alright, just not tonight
C Am
Someday, oh I wish you'd want me to stay
F G
I'll be alright, just not tonight,
Fm
Someday

end on C

This is easily the closest one to the piano chords that I've found. I like to add in 7ths and runs just to fill out flow for guitar but really good job!

hmmm if it starts on a c, then the next chord should be Am, then Dm (replaced by F later before chorus) then G. then chorus C, Am, F, G. I dont know the other details of the song enough to comment on it more, just there are a few fishy spots. the Bflats are unfortunately correct lol :P
