I disagree, this is the right tuning IMO. You can definitely hear the 5ths in the bass for the bridge, which you can not do as easily in Drop D. Also, if you are in Drop D, the x-x-x parts in the verse will sound "too nice" since they are a muted power chord. In half-step, they are dissident as it should be.
But it works in half-step, drop d, or drop d + 1/2 step if you are putting it in a set list!
